just a minUTE...

I’m the worst blogger ever.  I always say in my mind that I will update my blog with hilarious stories and the great goings on in my life but I never get around to it.  It comes down to days like today when I look at my page and realize I haven’t posted in over three months that I realize that my blog sucks!  So without further delay…a Patrick family update.

UPDATE:

BIG NEWS:  Rachael is pregnant!  She is wrapping up week 12 of baby making and all has been extremely well!  There has been no morning sickness and minimal cravings.  Rachael’s biggest complaint is that she doesn’t feel like her body is her own.  We are excited to be parents and with our friends either adopting or having kids of their own, our paradigm is rapidly shifting, a bit overwhelming but nevertheless awesome!  We have decided to find out the gender of the baby and will know in about 8 weeks if we are having a boy or a girl.  We have names picked out but aren’t sharing them until the baby is born.  Our due date is in December…we may actually post again during the pregnancy to update you on the progress. 

GETTING SMALLER NEWS:  I’m still running, and am working on bringing my mile time down to 10 minutes flat.  That may still seem slow to you but I’m feeling every step of those 5280 feet.  I’m in smaller shirts and after some prompting by Rachael and some friends, smaller pants but still haven’t weighed myself.  I’ll admit that I am a bit intimidated by the scale but life is good.

LOVING IT NEWS:  World Cup 2010, RSL defending the MLS cup, Broncos drafting Tim Tebow, Red Sox turning it around, and watching Carlos Boozer’s last season with the Jazz.
